Although at this phase, you have started to consume a variety of foods andbeverages that contain carbohydrates, but the numbers should remain limited andshould not exceed 90 grams per day, which is the third of the normal amount.

Dr. Atkins claims that you can expect to reduce weight about 6-10 lbs in the first two weeks (induction phase of Atkins diet plan), which must be lowered to 1-3 lbsper week after entering the the second phase, which is Ongoing Weight Loss Phase.
